Urban Bicycle Food Ministry – Des Moines

The Urban Bicycle Food Ministry – Des Moines is a branch of the Urban Bicycle Food Ministry in Memphis, Tennessee. We are an assembly of people for the glory of God. This is a missional group that meets during the week to go out into the community (on bicycles) for outreach by supplying food and basic needs to people who are hungry.

Any and everybody is welcomed to be part of this ministry.

Our goal: Serve Radical Hospitality One Burrito at a Time.

We are “seasoning the city” (Matt 5:13)

Spreading happiness in the midst of sorrow. (Luke 6:20-21)

Why bikes?
1. Des Moines is a bike friendly town (for the most part) and we have nice trials and bike lanes. We want to use these lanes for something good, that the city can benefit from.
2. It’s green.
3. It allows us to approach people on the streets more intimately, it allows us to converse with people around the city, and it allows people to communicate with us better.
4. Bikes are sexy.

The Urban Bicycle Food Ministry – Des Moines is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible.
